NACA

I just got back from one of the best conferences I have been to yet. Mainly because you watch a ton of bands and comedians, followed by some illusionist. (because magic isnt real)

It had some good development opportunities for students, their student activities board, and even for me as a professional. Gotta love that.

The states involved in this adventure was Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Kansas, and half of Colorado...not sure about the half part, but you go with it. Not all the universities and colleges go but a good portion.

I did see some amazing acts, met Mr. Beilding, AKA Dennis Haskins, met Natalie Stovall..you ask who, you will see, she is up and coming. Shawn Wayans and sister Kim, who walked into the elevator with me.

You are probably wondering where this amazing conference was....it sounds like the place itself is badass...oh it is...TULSA, the city of dreams. (or the city where dreams die) it wasnt really that bad. It just really seemed that way for most of the time I was TRYING to find restaurants and I had to drive 30 mins away from downtown to find anything.

good to know that the next conference is in Arlington next year....and yours truly will be on staff.

Roommates

I have to admit that I have had mostly good luck with roommates. There was the bad one, but there has been some good ones. Dave, Drew and I was the beginning of a beautiful friendship. A friendship that involved such days as Tallboy Tuesdays, Shirts Off Labor Day and Pants Off Arbor Day. Now that one went off and improved his life by getting married and the other improved his life by moving away and attending seminary, I was left to find some others.

Then there was Ryan...and the Dudley Street Manor. After being initiated into the Dudley Street Mafia, hilarity ensued and crazy times were afoot. Deas came under our wing and PFC joined in for the summer. INSERT THOUGHT HERE. This dream died quickly due to graduate school.

There I was alone in the DSM, no one to hang out with and enjoy the 3bd, 1bath apartment. Then the clouds opened and the light shined through in the name of Mary and Tiffany.

If you have ever seen 3's Company...then you have an insight to our life. It has been great living with two females. We can't agree on anything because we just want to make the other two happy. Roommate dinners and roommate time rank up there. Now think back to when I told you there is only 1bath. 2 females + 1 male + 1 bath = no problem at all. We all have shower times in the morning that we rarely see each other, mainly because i sleep in and don't wake up until Mary leaves. but if I am to continue...my shit is going outside.
